The Junior League of McAllen envisions 
significantly improving the quality of life 
of the children and youth of our community 
by preserving the innocence of childhood, 
encouraging responsibility, and 
promoting a safe environment.

The Junior League of McAllen is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism and to improving the community through the action and leadership of trained volunteers.  Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.  We strive to proactively meet critical needs of the McAllen community either by initiating or collaborating with community groups for positive solutions.  Our volunteerism and financial grants are primarily concentrated on high-impact projects which fulfill our Vision Statement.  We welcome into our organization women of all races, religions and national origins who exemplify a commitment to volunteerism.

The Junior League of McAllen was founded in 1938 
and became affiliated with the 
Association of Junior Leagues International in 1985
