VOLUNTEER PROJECTS
& CULTURAL EVENTS

The Junior League of McAllen dedicates 100% of its provisional membership and over 40% of its active membership directly to "hands on" community projects.  These projects reflect the organization's commitment to significantly improving the quality of life of the children and youth of our community by preserving the innocence of childhood, encouraging responsibility, and promoting a safe environment.  In addition to ongoing programs, the Children's Arts & Literacy Festival, held each February at the International Museum of Art & Science in McAllen, features artistic and literary activities and performances.  If your organization needs volunteers on a long-term basis, please complete the New Project Proposal at the bottom of this page.  If your organization needs volunteers on a short-term basis such as for a one or two day special event, please click on the Community Connections link below for an application.
